Please feel free to use these articles on your website or as links.
However, I do ask that you keep the resource box at the end of the articles.
Your World of Warcraft character has many attributes, and these can be used to increase many of your powers. This is just a brief guide to the effects of the various attributes.
Strength, will increase your attack power both with melee and ranged weapons, as well as increasing the amount of damage you are able to block with your shield.
Agility, will again increase your attack power with ranged weapons and your chances of scoring a critical hit with a weapon. It also increases your armour and your chances of dodging attacks. If you are a Rogue, Hunter or Druid in Cat form, your attacking power with melee weapons will be increased too.
Stamina, increases your health and the stamina of your pet.
Intellect will increase Mana and your chances of scoring critical hits with spells. Your rate, of learning weapon skills will increase, as will the intellect of your pet.
Spirit, increases regeneration rates out of combat and when you are not casting spells, your Mana regeneration rates will increase.
There are also combat related attributes, such as Melee, Defense and Spell. These increase your abilities and decrease any risks or harm. As the master’s Stamina and Intellect increases, so too does that of his pet. The same with Spell damage, as the masters power increases, his pet’s does too. Agility will increase your chance to hit with weapons, whilst Intellect will increase your chances of critically hitting with spells. If you have a talent, ability or an item bonus, your Mana will regenerate within the first five seconds after your last spell cast, when you have Spirit.
When leveling, the character attributes are automatically raised by fixed amounts, depending on your character’s race and class.
